A Whale of Family Science Night at BSU 5/17

Great, Local and Free Enrichment Opportunity

Middleboro High School Youth Environmental & Social Societies (YESS) and Bridgewater-Raynham High School along with New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA), Bridgewater State University Department of Biological Sciences and the Center for the Advancement of STEM Education (CASE) are joining forces to bring to you this year's "Whale of a Family Night" event on Wednesday, May 17th from 4-7 p.m.

This year’s event will offer fun and engaging learning activities on marine life and the hazards of marine debris through hands-on games, trivia and craft projects to name a few.

Once you arrive at the event, you will check-in and receive a brochure with information on each activity including appropriate age ranges, topic and location. Some examples of this year's activities include a guided tour with sound effects in NECWA's new life-size, digitally printed, inflatable whale named "Salt", a picture opportunity in a shark jaws photo booth, competitive plankton racing and make your own sea turtle craft.

All activities are led by YESS high school and BSU undergraduate students and their professors.

The event will take place from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 with a Family Presentation by Krill Carson from NECWA beginning at 6:20/6:30.
