NMS 2017 Movember Champion Mr. Minarovich is Crowned

A Champion is Crowned in Movember No Shave November Beard Contest with Mr. Minarovich taking the Title

In another tough battle that came down to the hairs on their chinny, chin, chins, an incredibly debonair hirsute look finally overtook the challenge of one-time Champions in Mr. Donovan and Mr. Candler.

In four years of Movember Competitions, Mr. Minarovich has always been a finalist.  But ...

Finally, Mr. Minarovich has completed the competition and is crowned as our 2017 NMS Movember Champion.

Mr. Minarovich is our 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher on the Adventurers team.  He is a veteran, scholar, and gentleman.  He has participated in many positive causes for our students, but it is his facial stylings that brought him the Championship that has eluded him the past three years.  Congrats, Mr. M.

The runner-up was last year's Movember Champion, Mr. Donovan.  Third Place was taken by 2015's Movember Champion and 8th Grade Math Teacher, Mr. Candler.  In Fourth Place was Mr. Geoghegan, and Fifth Place was Assistant Principal, Mr. Thomas.

The non-Finalists/Runner-Ups were:  Mr. Rothemich, Mr. Converse, Mr. Redpath, Mr. Jesman, Mr. Rader, Mr. Perry, and Mr. Thompson.

A good time was had by all.

Mr. Minarovich decided on the local Middleborough Wounded Warriors Foundation that he would like to see all the money raised sent.  The total was close to $120 raised through our Hat Day Friday, December 1.

Thank you to all the teachers who made this contest possible for the month of November, and for all our students, who donated the votes.  Special thanks to our NMS Student Council Advisors, Mr. Rothemich and Ms. Hudson, and our StuCo students who helped promote the voting and contest through Google Classroom.
