Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge for thousands of children across Massachusetts

Project 351 believes that young people have the power and potential to transform their communities and change the world.  Each year, Project 351 unites an 8th grade Ambassador from almost every city and town in the Commonwealth leadership development, community building, and unique service programs like Spring Greening.

2016 NMS 60th Annual STEM Fair


Congratulations NMS Scientists

On Wednesday March 16th 2016, the John T. Nichols Middle School held their 60th Annual S.T.E.M. Fair. Forty students presented dozens of amazing projects and competed for awards in 4 different categories. 

Congratulations goes out to all competitors as the quality of this years entries was extremely high and made the final judging very difficult. After a lengthy and spirited judging session, the following winners were chosen.


Harold H. Williams Memorial Trophy for Excellence in Plant Science: Ryan Green "Does Magnetism affect plant growth?"

Engineering/Design:

1st place: Maggie Desrosiers, Aileen Peddie, Eden Eugenio: "Tech Flex"

2nd Place: Ally Kirkpatrick, Isabela Heidke, Camryn Brady: "Water Filtration System"



Research / Illustrative:

1st Place: Hayley Devine, Keira McQuillan: "Don't Dump It, Budget!"

2nd Place: Shauna Gallagher: "Why Black Lights Make Things Glow"
