Google Expeditions a Definite Hit at NMS

Such a Wonderful Experience for our NMS Students

To hear the oohs and ahhs as the students were looking at the Galapagos Islands, or

"Wow" as they stood atop Mount Everest.

Or jumping back as they encountered a shark.

Or tried to reach out and touch a dinosaur.

Or walk through the White House during Christmas time.

Or swim with the tortoises under the sea.

No matter where they were virtually, you could hear them say afterward:

"That was awesome."

"So cool."

"An amazing time."

"I loved the part ..."

"So much fun."

"I love that."

"When are we going to get the Google Expeditions for every day?"

The Google Expeditions virtual field trips had by our student body today was a wonderful treat for all of our students to experience.  Many of the teachers tried their way into looking through the 21st Century View-Finder, and it does not disappoint.

It was an awesome day of learning and being in Mexico, the Pyramids of Egypt, Iceland, Mars, the moon, and others without ever having to get on a bus, plane, rocket, or even pack a bagged lunch.

Thank you again to Mr. Scott Redpath and Dr. Melanie Gates for securing this experience for our students.

Please enjoy many of the pictures I was able to take:
