Something to share with your students
Because our students are so media driven I attached a link from the website Common Sense Media.
“13 Books to Read Before They're Movies in 2016”
Take a look at this web page --> https://www.commonsensemedia.org/blog/13-books-to-read-before-theyre-movies-in-2016?utm_source=010816+Parent+Default
It contains information about the movie’s targeted audience and when the movie hits the theaters. Also, some of the titles featured in this article may be checked out from our library.
And finally, Does this look familiar?
Readbox for the Media Center
Dr. Melanie Gates shared this with me on Twitter. She suggested finding students to make this a project for the Media Center. I think it’s a creative way to get to some of our reluctant readers, and I have plenty of books on the library shelves that were movies. Let me know if you have any students in mind who would like to take this on.
I love the sign “Free Book Rentals with your Library Card”
