To walk through the end of the building during the day is music to your ears. To enter Ms. Thornton's and Ms. Young's classrooms one can hear the melodic practices of our students getting ready to eventually show their stuff in the concerts. It is always amazing to hear the pieces come together during the concert evenings.
Classes are separated by grades and sometimes the only chances the students play completely together is in the concerts. It is incredible to hear how it does all come together so smoothly. And to see the stage as filled as it was with our final performance of band was sensational.
Great job, Ms. Young and Ms. Thornton, with all our NMS Chorus, Orchestra, and Band students! The amazing work of our students was definitely on display during our Spring Concerts! Awesome work, Musical Tigers! And I always love our 8th Grade Music students doing the intro's to the pieces. Nice job.
Here are some pictures from the evenings of June 6 and June 7.
First, the NMS Chorus from MHS Auditorium.
Then our Sixth Grade Orchestra with Ms. Young on Tuesday, June 7, in the NMS Auditorium.
And our Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestra with Ms. Thornton.
Then to finish off the June 7th evening, Ms. Thornton with NMS Band.
