Warm Hearts, Warm CoatsMs. Schomburg's ELA class were inspired by the book Three Cups of Tea, which they read in class.
Greg is the main character and he is building a school for the kids of Korphe, Pakistan. Families in Korphe didn't have enough money to build their own school. Greg wanted to make a school because the kids in Korphe were writing in dirt. Greg wanted to change to help people.
We wanted to inspire others and so we decided to do a Winter Clothes Drive.
For a few weeks, we had put up posters and announcements for the Morning Announcements.
We were able to collect a bunch for local charities.
Thank you to all for giving. It was so much fun to see how much people donated. Thank you again.
