NMS's 2017 #RallyfortheJimmyFund Hat Day Was Successful

Opening Day Success for Red Sox & for The Rally for the Jimmy Fund

On Monday, April 3, the Boston Red Sox pulled out a come-from-behind win, and here at the Nichols, we saw some great success as well.

The Rally for the Red Sox and the Jimmy Fund has become an annual event for the Nichols Middle School Community.  This year was no different.

It is not always easy to have anything planned for a Monday, but our students, teachers, faculty, staff, and community came through as we attempted to raise money for cancer research.

Helping us as always was the thought that we are doing this for fellow Middleborough community member, Dylan Berio.  Whenever we mention Dylan, all community members want to support this worthy cause.

All told, we were able to raise nearly $500 for just wearing a hat to school!

We were able to ask the Jimmy Fund to make sure these funds were earmarked for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund and also Pediatric Patient Assistance Fund, both are intently tied to the Berio family and the funds are made in honor of Dylan.

If you would still like to give, you can online, by clicking here.

Thank you again to everyone who generously gave to this worthy cause.

Here are some pictures from the day.
