2017 NMS PTA's STEAM Carnival Much Fun

NMS PTA STEAM Carnival Amazes

On Friday afternoon, June 2, students from all three grades participated in our 3rd Annual NMS PTA STEAM (STEAM instead of STEM Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with the addition of the "Arts") Carnival.

The NMS PTA and Faculty put on a sensational event for students from all three grades.

Ms. Mayeski, our Unified Arts STEM teacher, worked with our NMS PTA parents to lead this incredible afternoon.

Teachers from all over the building helped out in supporting this fun event for our students:  Mr. Candler, Mr. Redpath, Ms. White, Mr. Perry, Mr. Brandon, Ms. Escolas, Ms. Charbonneau, and Mr. Thomas.

A huge thank you to all the NMS PTA parents, who manned stations and helped our students around every corner you turned.

There were also a huge contingent of MHS students volunteering their time to help out.  Super kudos to you.

There were fantastic science stations all over the building including games in the gym, halls, cluster, classrooms, cafeteria, including learning about heat and electricity in the Media Center, and two "Mad Scientist" presentations in the auditorium.

It was a fabulous day for all.

Thank you to all who participated and made this a reality for our students.

Check out some of the fun.
